Echocardiogram: Mitral Insufficiency
Parasternal Long Axis View
This page contains a still echocardiogram of a patient with mitral insufficiency. The parasternal long axis view shows the anterior mitral leaflet markedly prolapsing with lack of normal
coaptation with the posterior mitral leaflet. The leaflets are thickened, but there are no apparent
vegetation.
