EKG Fileroom Case 10
Diagnosis: Acute inferior Infarct
Discussion: Notice the profound ST segment elevation in leads II, III, and AVF. There are reciprocal changes in the anterior chest leads (ST segment depression). Remember that the current of injury is directed inferiorly during the ST segment. This current shows up as ST segment elevation in the inferior leads and as ST depression in the anterior leads. This patient has more than two milimeters of ST elevation and will therefore get thrombolytic therapy along w/ his IV Nitro
