Sharpening skills at Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) was never so easy - and certainly never so much fun. Cardiac Arrest! casts you in the role of emergency physician. The patient's history is presented, and the resuscitation efforts begin. You read the ECG on the computer screen, interpret the vital signs and laboratory data, and give treatment orders. ACLS becomes a challenging computer adventure game.
There are 45 patient data files on the disk - but each patient behaves differently every time resuscitation is attempted. It's a real simulator, not a case presentation. There are easy patients, hard patients, and pediatric patients.
As you resuscitate the patient, you type your "orders" in plain English, ordering virtually anything you want any way you want. Cardiac Arrest! is incredibly easy to use. The manual provides all the medical information required. And there's an on-screen textbook, on-line protocol charts and drug information, treatment hints, and a watchful head nurse who can tell you if you're going astray.

No "choose A, B, C" type learning here. The realism gets your adrenaline going. And the simulator goes beyond standard ACLS. It poses difficult therapeutic priorities, presenting patients with problems beyond hearts attacks - such as hypocalcemia, hypothermia, and hyperkalemia. Whether you're a paramedic, nurse, physician, or teaching institution, Cardiac Arrest! can meet your education needs. No wonder Cardiac Arrest! is the most-used ACLS simulator in the world!

"A godsend for ACLS education" American Journal of Emergency Medicine

So don't be fooled by the fancy "fluff" other programs use to get your attention. Cardiac Arrest! has greater teaching depth than any other ACLS program. It's been around longer, it's been improved more, and it's a REAL simulator -- not a "work through this case," "use it once and chuck it" type program. When it comes to rock-solid mastery of ACLS, Cardiac Arrest is the program for you!

Code Team! -- A package to learn ACLS!
Having trouble remembering "what comes when" in the ACLS treatment algorithms? Having trouble staying awake studying for the certification test? You need Code Team! -- the complete desktop computer ACLS preparation course. Code Team! is three programs: CardioQuiz, EKG Teaching, and ALCS Protocols.

Screen shot of CardioQuiz
CardioQuiz covers ACLS topics in ten self-teaching quizzes. This is excellent preparation for the written ACLS certification test. The program covers airway management, IV techniques, cardiac drugs, case management priorities, Basic Life Support reveiw, and more.

Screen shot of EKG Teaching
The EKG Teaching program teaches rhythm strip interpretation with tutorials and quizzes. The program covers normal and abnormal ECG parts and rhythms, with pathology pattern and recognition such as hypercalcemia, hyperkalemia, and hypothermia.

Screen shot of ACLS Protocols
ACLS Protocols teaches you to apply the American Heart Association's arrhythmia treatment algorithms to clinical situations. The program allows you to select from multiple scenerios, then manage the patient by interpreting the on-screen data and ECGs while entering treatment orders. The program is useful for all who must pass the "megacode" portion of ACLS certification. Among the protocols practiced are asystole, brachychardia with and without pulse, V-tach with and without pulse, V-fib, PAT, endotracheal drugs, and acidosis therapy.
