Route of transmission: Fomites and carrier transmission
Investigations: Gram stain, wet smear and culture for confirmation

Oral thrush
Cutaneous and mucocutaneous (Candida oesophagitis in AIDS patients)
Hematogenous dissemination
Treatment:
Topical antifungals
Clotrimazole for local infections
IV Amphotericin B and fluconazole for disseminated candidiasis
