Rush Range is owned by Monroe Community College, and is located in the town of Rush, NY.
The facility consists of an outdoor range with ten firing positions at a length of 200
yards, a small classroom with storage space and telephone, and a lodge located on the
property up the hill from the firing range, which is used as a large classroom, complete with
TV, phone, and restrooms.
Managed by the Public Safety Training Center, the range is used as a firearms training
facility by Monroe County Police agencies, and by the Training Center for security guard
and recruit officer training.
Rush Range is governed by a set of protocols. A Range Control Officer is on the premises
during all firing sessions.
