Virtual library links are a list of urls and forms of interest to physicians, biologists and patients. The forms that are provided in various directories of vital links for searching various search engines are not created for a monetary value rather to help the busy scientists to conveniently and efficiently find the information that they are looking for. The first time users are encouraged to visit the original site to become familiar with the terms and conditions of the use of such engines. For some sites registration is required. You or your site has to become registered to take full advantage of searching certain sites (eg, four 11 directory, IRIS etc). Please send your comments and the urls of the site(s) that you wish to appear in this platform to the editorial office by mail or via E-mail.

" Events" contains a list of on line conferences, symposia and courses as well as major conferences held in various parts of the world.

"Product Gallery" contains a list of major companies which offer research products. Clicking the logo of a given company will access information about the manufacturer such as the telephone number, address, and E-mail address or allows accessing the home page of the company.

"Book Reviews" contains evaluation of books that are submitted to the "Frontiers in Bioscience" for review.

"Newsgroups, Tips and Techniques" contains the list of various newsgoups. Clicking the "all newsgroups" within this section will open a dialog box that allows all the newsgroups to be viewed if your browser has been correctly configured to access the newsfeed. Readers can choose a given newsgroup and read the messages that are posted or can send a message to be posted within that newsgroup or all newsgroups. In addition, the readers can send information useful to scientists for publication in this section of the journal.

"Internet Hints" contains information about computer viruses, a list of software and other information that are useful to scientists.

"Patient Platform" contains information that is useful to patients. In addition, patients can pose questions about diseases which will be answered by our editors. Both the question and answer will appear in this section of the virtual library.

"Save the Earth" platform contains information for those who are concered about preservation of the planet earth. The interested individuals can send messages pertinent to this platform which will be published in this section of the journal.

"Platform is Yours" has been dedicated to publish comments, suggestions and views regarding funding or any other issue in biology and medicine which are appealing to a large audience.

If you entered the journal by using the HTML 3.0 gateway and therefore have an index on the left hand side of the screen, click here. This will substitute the journal index with an index of the virtual library. By clicking any item on the index, you will be able to access the information of the library links on the right of the screen.

If you entered the journal by using the HTML 2.0 gateway and therefore do not see an index on the left but your browser is capable of interpreting HTML 3.0 click here. This will allow the index of the virtual library to appear to the left of the screen. By clicking any item on the index, you will be able to access the information of the library links on the right of the screen.

For browsers with the capability to show frames and interepret Javascript, buttons are included in the current issue that allows an index of the entire journal and virtual library to be displayed in the left (as a frame) or as a floating index (with the use of Javascript).
